Greg is a soul in conflict: he wants to do right, but the budding drive for status and girls seem to tempt him unduly. He wants to be a winner in the popularity race (where he thinks he's ranked 52nd or 53rd), but there is always an obstacle that trips him up. Readers cheer Greg on because he is vulnerable and they identify with his struggles, even though he is oblivious to his gaping weaknesses.

golden teacher Thankfully, the skills I had acquired in one profession were easily transferred to another. But, I learned that the real key to success was knowing myself well and ensuring that my skills always fit the work I was undertaking.

Get it set in your mind now, that you are going to practice at least some of what you read. Grab a notebook, and record your favorite exercises and pieces of wisdom from the ezine that you have decided to continue reading.

Hard-to-reach students will only be truly motivated by you when they, either consciously or sub consciously understand how they are going to benefit from what you are teaching them. What is in it for them?

growkit golden teacher Boxcar Children, Gertrude Warner: This book was written decades ago, but they story has stood the test of time. It's amazing how many, now adults, tell how this book made them into avid readers. And they have passed the series on to their own children. The tale is of four children who travel in an empty boxcar without parental supervision, a captivating storyline for children constantly reined in and directed by adults. Somehow the children find ways to survive through happenstance or ingenuity.

The water from the natural hot springs are pumped up from below the ground and are considered healing. I've seen people drink the water even though it has a slight smell like sulfur. Strangely as a kid when I use to melt sulfur and other stuff from my chemistry set I use to always get a cold after accidentally inhaling the fumes. But here I have only had good experiences at the baths -- no side effects at all from the sulfer, people even drink this water for health (I tried it twice).

Again, dreams come on different levels. But the most important ones are from the Soul and are an attempt at communication. It is for us to become familiar with the language we have in common with the Soul, that of visual symbols. A first step is to take the dreams seriously enough to write them down, and then look them up in a book on dream symbols, such as "Watch Your Dreams" by Ann Ree Coulton, or take a dream interpretation class as I did.

Drum teachers usually explain this by saying taps are all the inside notes, the low notes. Accents are taught to be played vertically. The common misconception is that accents and taps is just for marching drumlines, but it can also be played by drum kit drummers too. The benefit to playing drum music with proper stick heights is that it sounds and it looks good. One of the best books that could teach you how to play proper stick heights is Accents and Rebounds by George Lawrence Stone. Stone is well-known for his first book, Stick Control.

People come and go as they want (in some sessions) and no one is judging -- except possibly you. The air outside is clean and clear and crisp. The golden sun is rising and the mist moves over the cliffs and mountains casting shadows or playing with the forms and crags -- every moment a new scene--a new view. Life is happening! I have jumped in!

Read these to give a background on each child. There may be issues of family problems, health or learning problems as well as academic results. You might also learn of some talent the student has to help engage him/her successfully in class work. Knowing these things about your students will help tailor the ways in which you react to a student's behaviour. (I had an horrific evening after I had admonished strongly a male student sent to me for disciplining. He disappeared from the school. I then found out from the teacher he was suicidal. Fortunately for me, all was well).

In one such story person from a very poor background, educationally or otherwise, came to city from the rural hinterland. In search of greener pastures, he had fled his village after passing junior high school (class 8th) examination. After coming to the city he worked as a water boy in a charitable college. He lived in miserable condition away from his home with no support whatsoever. He, however, continued his studies and passed his high school examination, and thereafter in the next two years finished his intermediate (class 12). For his effort he was offered to work as a lab assistant in the same college.
