Sometimes a famous teacher lectures in Huxley or at times someone plays the congo drum or there is a classically trained musician or teacher demonstrating his technique. One of my favorite classes was with the famous Cellist David Darling and Al Huang. Electricity wildly alive in the environment. Genius at play.

A last warning: Don't be fooled by the glitz. Often the best martial-arts schools are the plain ones ... even the classes taught out of a garage. It's the same with ezines -- more often than not, the better ezines are plain-text emails.

If I could have actually spoken to boys I think I would have had more to say to Adam, the golden poet than to the endearing but less complex John. Needless to say I could hold hands and even kiss but both relationships ultimately folded because I really didn't know what you said to boys when all that was done.

And now my eyes are closed and I slowly open them in Huxley (a wonderful large space) each of us dance and move uniquely in our own way. Gentle coaxing and suggestions from Cynthia. I am aware of my breath. Stomach relaxed.

You have to keep in mind that students tend to be forgetful, irresponsible, immature, etc... and depending on their age sometimes, the one you need to be after is the parent not the student. Young students by nature need an adult to be after them.

One art which I had no skill at was the making of music. Growing up, I always loved music. We always listened to music; I grew up hearing Elvis Presley, Bill Haley and the Comets and other 1950 era musicians. Over the years, my tastes changed, the styles of music changed, the musicians changed.

golden teacher growkit This experience in nature is a far cry from my usual surroundings in the City of L.A. Sometimes huge wall length reflective mirrors are exposed by withdrawn curtains. The room seems to double in size and the outside lighting adds a unique dimension. A beam of light shines in stirring the room. There is an old finely tuned antique classy black piano in one corner of the immense space and in the opposite corner a wonderful stereo system -- music is playing softly but will change tempo radically several times in the next 45 minutes. Sometimes a rug, soft mats or pillows cover the entire smooth shiny wooden floor.

golden teacher Amazing to me people manage to get up this early (7:00 a.m. or earlier) to participate in movement. People in this free flowing movement class are probably 17 -- 70+ years old. Everyone is silent before we begin. With awareness we crawl slowly around the room and begin, at the level of micro-movements, to slowly stand up. I usually stand with knees slightly bent.

If you want people to be more civil in their interactions with others, I contend that it needs to be taught. We need a civility curriculum. If it is in the best interest of society for people to treat others in a more civil manner, then why don't we teach it?

III. Not realizing that you can teach school-age almost like preschool-You can use some of the same drills, stations, and equipment that you use for your little ones, but you need to give your instructions in a different voice and tone. Be sure to use many of the same props you use in preschool to teach the older ones. For examples hand and foot prints when needed, bean bag between the ankles to keep their legs together for rolls, and a ball to bring their knees up while doing tuck jumps on the trampoline.

golden teacher growkit Houston Smith, while getting his degree was a Naturalist who believed Science was the final oracle for Truth. That is until 5 months prior to getting his degree when he read page 2 of a book by Gerald Heard and then he stayed up reading all night long and by dawn his Naturalist viewpoint had collapsed. He didn't pick up another book by Heard until after he graduated. If people are suffering should not anything that ever worked to alleviate it be offered to them. Love, fresh squeezed orange juice or a Euphoric? But is that focus too narrow?
