If you find the combination that works for your target market, you can depend on that unique combination of tactics that help to drive traffic successfully to your site. You must also ensure that the traffic you bring is targeted specifically to your subject and will gladly accept your offer.

golden teacher I was raised not to call people "out of their name". My grandmother named me David, after the great Hebrew patriarch. She taught me that my name meant 'beloved' and not to let folks shorten or alter it. "Dave did not slay Goliath", she admonished. "Nor was Dave king of Israel." She explained names often carried the weight of expectation. What you called others was as important as anything else you could say to them was her belief. More vital, though, was what we allowed others to call us. Hence, my edict.

golden teacher Remember, students are self-centred. Many believe that because you are correcting their behaviour that 'you are picking on them' and/or 'you hate them'. You might get that impression from them too. Don't take it personally. It's just 'the nature of the beast'. Let what happens in the classroom stay there.

growkit golden teacher When you are practicing tai chi, move slowly and continuously and use intent to move beyond the physical part of the form. This helps to develop a strong mind-body connection. Qi gets stronger as it continues to flow, just like the force of water gets stronger as it flows downhill. If you stop moving during the forms, your qi also stops moving.

golden teacher Who are you? What do you want? -- Each of us has special career needs that must be met for us to be satisfied. These needs are often called drivers or motivators. They stimulate your interest and drive you toward certain directions. That is why you choose certain subjects in school or sports. That is why we lean toward certain professions. Today, there are many free online assessments that will help you to identify these. If you can't find a suitable assessment tool, then check in with a career counsellor. But no matter what, find out what motivates you. These motivational drivers include the need to have independence in your work tasks, being in a technical, a social or an entrepreneurial environment, the need to lead or manage a project and/or ensuring you have life-work balance.

And now my eyes are closed and I slowly open them in Huxley (a wonderful large space) each of us dance and move uniquely in our own way. Gentle coaxing and suggestions from Cynthia. I am aware of my breath. Stomach relaxed.

When asked for advice on martial-arts school selection, rather than recommend a specific school, or even a particular style, I instead recommend the way my teacher (Steve Golden) has in the past: I tell them to choose based on the personality of the teacher at the school.

School for me was not the most inspiring place. I was quiet and retiring on the surface but a secret revolutionary developing a silent but burgeoning dislike of authority in all its forms. I had a couple of special friends but was never invited to join the 'in' crowd. My personality was still forming. I had no way of impressing it on anyone. I had zero marketing capacity so I could never sell my coolness so that there would be buyers.

Judgmental - Being a holistic consultant and teacher is not an easy job. Clients may come with various emotional issues and challenges. They might even make unreasonable requests during the session. Learning how to be detached and not be easily affected by other people energy is essential. If one is affected, then drama and argument may come into play, affecting us considerably and certainly jeorpadising the clarity we should have. We should therefore be open and honest in knowing where our own weaknesses, biasness, prejudices, needs and preferences are, and be aware that these are not projected upon our client through our dowsing and answers.

Outside of Huxley at night there could be a fire in the wood burning fireplace. A world renowned Schooner Operator could be playing classical guitar alone. While at the other end of the deck a couple of people are sipping tea or coffee. Others coming up from the baths refreshed and ready for sleep. Couple of raccoons vibrating calmly nearby as a mystical lady tells you to fear not. Their scent uniquely pungent still to my memory. Sounds of nature flourish. Sparks from the crackling fire fly up into the gentle breeze of the cool crisp evening toward the star filled universe surrounding us. Stratus clouds intermingle with silhouettes of tree branches.

What was most remarkable though, was that it wasn't my class. I was their substitute teacher. The transformation they experienced took place in a two week period. For the two years I subbed, this ritual of establishing respect and mutual worth had the same results--regardless of were it was applied. So-called troubled, hyper, or violent kids all rose to the expectation that they too, were worthy of being addressed and treated with respect. Was I a super teacher or psychological genius? Not by any stretch. I simply worked a principle. That's the great thing about principles; they work regardless of who uses them. Later in my career, I saw a memorable illustration of the power of positive expectations. It came from the story of a legendary trader with a comic strip name.
