You don't need to pack up and move to New York. You can live wherever you want, but you should start looking for opportunities to meet these people whenever possible. Writers, agents and editors live everywhere. University presses and small publishers exist in every state. Freelance editors work from home offices in urban and rural settings. The Internet can connect you to like-minded people around the world.

If I won $30 million it would stop me learning what I need to earn in order to become a billionaire. I might be rich, but I want to choose wisdom and understand over easy wealth. Then, if I lose all my money I can get it back even quicker.

Can you learn how to write novels, or does it require a special gift? The nub of this question is about skill versus ability - skills can be learned, abilities are innate. Arguably, writing is a skill. However, the quality of your work will depend on ability.

Persistence. You have to sit there, in front of your computer (just like you are doing now,) and write. And write, and write some more. You need to set minimum number of words to write every single day. Regardless. Some say five hundred words is a good number, some write many more. Once you get into the habit, the solid, everyday habit of writing, something magical happens.

My Worst Best Friend is about two best novels friends who demonstrate the grand epitome of opposites attract. Gracie is plain, boyish and smart with common sense and a good head on her shoulders, whereas Savanna is a beautiful, charming, manipulative brat who has already mastered the art of flirting at the age of sixteen and gets her way one-hundred percent of the time.

Those on their way to the top know how to position themselves. They put themselves where they can meet writers and anyone connected to the publishing business. They benefit and learn from those who have already done what they want to do and those in the places Novel Writing they want to reach.

I spent the better part of the afternoon organizing my garage. The purpose was to get a large enough pile of unusable stuff and have a garage sale. My garbage is someone else's gold, right? At the far end of my enormous garage I found several large plastic containers filled to the rim with romance novels I had collected over a decade ago. These once important books in my life were being wasted, unseen, and enclosed in a box hidden in the back of a room that is hardly visited. When I opened the container I was reminded of the smell of imagination. My husband insisted that I sell as many as I could while I had the chance but I was hesitant.

The story starts out with her older brother, Josh, and sister, Risa, playing a prank on her. Their family is trying to decide on what kind of a pet to get. Risa wants a cat, Josh wants a dog, Dad seconds that, Mom says they are not voting, Ellie is happy with her pet rat, and baby brother Ben-Ben is happy with his pet pinecone!

The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. One of the most famous Canadian authors and novels, this takes place in the near future and has won the Governor General's award and the Arthur C. Clarke Award as well as being adapted for the cinema, opera, radio and stage.

The above ten steps are not some cookie-cutter pattern. They are the combined world wisdom about the path of life itself, the process we go through in achieving any worthwhile goal. There will be fear. There will be defeat. We will need to gain new skills and friends and partners. We must be clear on our acceptance of goals and responsibility. We must have faith. And ultimately, if we have struggled, and learned, and sacrificed, and moved through our fear...we learn and grow and succeed. And then we teach others. This is the pattern of life, and any time you organize information and events into a pattern even vaguely reminiscent of this, the human nervous system, worldwide, will recognize it as story.

The best novels tip you can receive on how to write a fantasy novel is to read more romance novels. Reading other authors' work will help you learn how to structure plots and develop themes; understand how to display emotions; how to set scenes and you may even get some inspiration from a writers work that you admire.

Suspense novels formula step 1: Decide your topic. Many people who wish to craft best-selling suspense novels struggle with this first step. The biggest problem is they get too wound up in trying to come up with something that's never been done, assuming that they'll land a number one best seller. Forget trying so hard to do something that hasn't been done, and just settle on something you know, even if the subject has been done. Then work on an interesting twist.

It doesn't matter which genre you prefer, "The Tribe" can and should be read by everyone. The only thing about the book I didn't like was that it ended. "The Tribe" was one of the best book I ever read. And that's saying a lot considering I'm an avid reader. Unfortunately "The Tribe" is no longer available for sell on many book websites. But I hope that my review will help create a renew interest in the book, so that more readers can be introduce to the talented Mr. Townes.
